The short version: these terms cover this website and the PAXO waitlist — nothing more. Joining the waitlist is free and creates no obligation on either side. PAXO has not launched yet and is pending regulatory approval, so we can't promise a launch date. Founding member benefits are real intentions, not contractual guarantees. When PAXO actually launches, you'll get separate terms covering rides.
1 Who we are
paxoride.com (the "Site") is operated by Paxo Technologies LLC ("PAXO", "we", "us", "our"). PAXO is building a zero-commission rideshare platform intended to launch in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
2 What these terms cover
These terms apply only to your use of this Site and to joining the PAXO founding waitlist. They do not cover the PAXO mobile apps or any rideshare service, because those are not yet available.
When PAXO launches, we will publish separate terms governing rides, payments, driver agreements, and platform use. Those terms will replace these for anything relating to the service itself.
3 PAXO has not launched
Important: PAXO is not currently operating. We are preparing to launch pending approval from the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC). We cannot guarantee that approval will be granted, or when.
Nothing on this Site is an offer to provide transportation services, an offer of employment, or an offer of an independent contractor engagement. Joining the waitlist does not make you a PAXO driver, a PAXO rider, an employee, or a contractor.
4 Joining the waitlist
You may join the waitlist if:
- You are at least 18 years old.
- The information you give us is accurate and about yourself — not someone else.
- You are not using automated means to submit forms.
Joining is free and creates no financial obligation. You can leave at any time by emailing privacy@paxoride.com. We may remove anyone from the waitlist at our discretion — for example, for abuse, fraud, or duplicate or automated entries.
5 Founding member benefits
We describe benefits for founding drivers (priority approval, higher launch rewards, a Founding Driver badge, referral rewards) and founding riders (a $20 ride credit, early access, referral rewards). We fully intend to honour these.
However, please understand these are promotional offers, not contractual guarantees. They are:
- Conditional on PAXO actually launching in your area with regulatory approval.
- Subject to launch terms and availability, which we'll publish at launch.
- Subject to eligibility — for drivers, that includes meeting background check, licensing, insurance, and vehicle requirements at real onboarding.
- Non-transferable and with no cash value.
If we ever need to change a benefit materially, we will tell everyone on the waitlist by email before it takes effect. If PAXO does not launch, no benefits become payable and nothing is owed.
6 Referral codes and sharing
You may share PAXO with others. At this stage, sharing links are for spreading the word only — a full referral programme with tracked codes and rewards will be introduced at launch, with its own terms. Do not send unsolicited bulk messages or spam on our behalf.
7 Your privacy
How we handle your information is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: we collect only what we need to contact you about the launch, we don't sell your data, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
8 Acceptable use
When using this Site, you agree not to:
- Submit false, misleading, or someone else's information.
- Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools against the Site or forms.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site or any related systems.
- Interfere with the Site's operation or security.
- Use the Site for any unlawful purpose.
9 Our content
The PAXO name, logo, design, text, and graphics on this Site are owned by Paxo Technologies LLC and protected by intellectual property law. You may not copy, reproduce, or use them without our written permission, except for sharing links to the Site as intended.
10 The Site is provided "as is"
We work to keep this Site accurate and available, but we provide it on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any information on it is complete or current.
11 Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Pennsylvania law, Paxo Technologies LLC and its members, officers, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of this Site or from joining the waitlist — including any decision you make in anticipation of a PAXO launch.
In plain terms: please don't make significant financial decisions — such as buying a vehicle or leaving a job — based on a PAXO launch that has not yet been approved or scheduled.
12 Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we'll email everyone on the waitlist before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
13 Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute relating to this Site or the waitlist will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
