Text messages
PAXO sends one kind of text: your sign-in code.
There is no marketing SMS programme. You give us your mobile number in the app, you tap the sign-in button, and a one-time passcode arrives so we can confirm the number is yours. That is the message this page is about.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes at any time. Your number is shared only with our messaging provider, Twilio, and only to deliver the messages described below.
How you opt in
You opt in by entering your own mobile number in a PAXO app and tapping Send OTP. Nothing is sent before that tap. We never message numbers bought from a list or obtained from anyone else, and we do not collect numbers on this website for messaging.
The consent language appears on the screen itself, directly beneath the button:
By tapping Send OTP, you agree to receive a one-time verification code via SMS from PAXO. Message and data rates may apply. See our Terms and Privacy Policy.
The screens, as they ship
-
PAXO — rider sign-in. -
PAXO Driver — driver sign-in.
What we send
| Message | When | Example |
|---|---|---|
| One-time passcode | Only when you request to sign in. | 246810 is your PAXO verification code. It expires in 5 minutes. Never share it — PAXO will not ask for it. |
| Trip updates | Only about a ride you have requested, while it is in progress. | Status of the trip you booked — never a promotion. |
We do not send marketing or promotional texts. All PAXO messaging is transactional.
Frequency, rates, opting out
- Frequency depends entirely on your activity. A passcode is sent only when you
ask to sign in.
- Message and data rates may apply, according to your carrier plan.
- Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them. You can opt back in by requesting
a sign-in code again.
- Reply HELP for help, or email
hello@paxoride.com.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Security
A passcode is for you and nobody else. PAXO will never ask you to read a code back to us, by
phone, email or chat. If someone asks you for one, they are not PAXO.
Full detail on how your number is handled is in the Privacy Policy,
and the messaging terms form part of the Terms of Service.
