A flat fare, quoted up front
The quote names the total before you book. The same quote is what the trip is created with, so the amount cannot drift between tapping Book and arriving.
For riders
Every PAXO quote is a flat fare for a specific trip. You see the total and the lines that make it up before you decide, and booking locks it in. No multiplier is applied afterwards, because there is no multiplier to apply.
PAXO has not launched. Leave your details and we will email you when it opens in your area. Joining is free and creates no obligation on either side.
PAXO is preparing to launch in Pennsylvania pending approval from the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC).

Surge pricing is switched off across the platform. Every quote PAXO issues carries a surge multiplier of 1.0 — rain, rush hour and stadium traffic included.
Each quote states what a named competitor would charge for the identical trip and the difference. When PAXO would cost more, the comparison is simply not shown — it is never dressed up as a saving.

Tipping is optional and entirely the rider's choice. When you tip, all of it goes to the driver, charged separately from the fare, any time within seven days of the trip.
A promo code is applied last, after everything else in the fare, and can take a fare down to zero but never below it. The code is held the moment it is used in a quote, so it cannot be spent twice.

PAXO's first service area is Pittsburgh, PA. Trips must begin inside it. The area will expand, and this page will say so when it does — we would rather be specific than vague.
